"ladies of the 1920's"

Hey all, My niece asked me to make a card for her friend who is turning 27 and loves the color green, fashion, art and photography. I made her this card , well its quite big for a card, 9 X 8 inches....

I used the graphic 45 Haute Couture paper as the main image, distressed the edges, added some Websters pages ruffled rubban, some beads that I had. I glued it down to some Basic Grey Curio paper ( love this paper!!!) and added a old earing piece that I had. I rather use my jewelry in my cards than wear it !!!LOL

Inked up some lace with my Ranger wild honey distressed ink; I cant believe how well the lace takes the ink.  Added 3 old buttons ( gifted to me), and glued it down  on a different piece of BG Curio paper.

Cut out a corner piece of a Websters Pages paper that has a camera on it and applied glossy accents to it.

For the greeting I used a buckle and slipped this textured paper through it, inked it up a bit, cut out letters and numbers from Websters Pages, inked those up a bit, and added a few Recollections flowers.

Added a bit of Prima bling ....I think she will be happy !!!

  1. Good Morning Gisele!

I saw the gorgeous cards you sent Carole at Pea's Corner and had to come meet you! Your work is incredible!! Honestly!! It takes a very special artistic eye to create altered art... I have always been artistic but this is one area I am really challenged in.
The birthday card you made for you daughter's friend is beyond gorgeous. It's so nice to meet you Gisele. Have a great day!!

    Big hugs, Sherry
