Dear Friends, how are you all ? I just want to apologize for not commenting lately, nor blogging. My hands and shoulder are acting up again with carpal tunnel and tendinitis, so weak I can barely hold a paintbrush, so I will have to rest for a while....much love to you all... G.

Take the time to feed the birds...

Hey, how are you ? I am doing ok, having fun playing with all the new products I received for my B-Day....

Over at Out of a Hat Creations the subject is Time. Do you take the time  to enjoy the little things ?

.Prendre le temps ( taking the time) and the scrolls are stamps from Toga

where as the lady and the bird is a stamp of times gone past  from Crafty Individuals painted in with distressed inks, and a bit of copper glitter added to her skirt; along with some pink pearls

Over at the Fashionable Stamping Challenge, we are to play with ink and get messy !!! My background is made swiping my CS on some distressed inks, and glitter mist; once adhered to my canvas, some copper metallic embossing and gold paint were added...

....Embossed a few roses...Added some copper pearls to a filigree which I bent on both sides...All my stamping was done with copper embossing..

thanks for peeking and have a great week-end !!! love G.

Moments Magiques...

Hi, have you ever played with grunge board ? I just got some for my B'day and this stuff is so cool....These are the Tim Holtz wings which I inked, applied alcohol inks, then crackle paint; once dried I emphasized the cracks with Picket Fence Stickles and and some liquid pearls...
And after all this treatment, it  stays pliable....Wow ! and you end up with amazing masks !

The background is a canvas which I inked, embossed and sprayed with glimmer mists....gessoed (is that a verb ???lol) some fabric to stamp on : Magical Moments...this is a gift for my hubby....

Then I applied it to this wonderful fabric...
I embossed the chain with the same blue as my stamping, and used some glass beads to anchor it down....

I had such a great time making this, and got VERY dirty and inky; I am linking this to
The Fashionable Stamping challenge, lets get messy and ink....

Thanks for peeking, love G.

My First Twinchie !!!

this was so much fun...I made it for the Out of A Hat Creations challenge...Have you ever made one ? I had not, so I found it quite challenging, but really fun at the same time.

...I started off glimmer misting, then I stamped my chandelier, applied multiple layers of 3 different coloured embossing powders, stamped a chair into it....dropped in a bit of gold perfect pearls, inked the edges; applied glossy accents to stick my beads in, then made chandelier loops with some chain and beads......
it was  hard to photograph with all the glare but it looks really cool IRL....

Thanks for peeking...have a lovely day...

Elegance and Lace over at the Shabby Tea Room...

Hi there, how is everyone today ? Well, I wasn't feeling very inspired this week, until I saw this photo  over at The Shabby Tea Room ; how romantic is this ? we have to use  cream or white, pink, craft and lace......This is my card, and below is the inspirational photo ..

I hand cut the contour, used some Scrap Cake Papers for the base, distressing and inking my edges with Ranger Tattered Rose (  a must  if you like Vintage). I glimmer misted my main flower, added it to a filigree base, cut out some lace to use as leaves and applied on a vintage doily ( comes form my mom when she first got married !). Inked my seam binding with same color and added some pearls...

I used this image from Gecko Galz because of the chandelier and the colors; I added some glossy accents to the roses. For the sentiment I embossed My friend  on Kraft paper and glistened it up with   liquid pearls (Bisque); a few pearls and mini roses for added romance..

I really enjoyed this challenge...thanks for peeking !

Sunny Sunday !!!

Hi, the challenge over at Scrap Jacked is to be inspired by one of the designer's project.

This is the card I made, inspired by Deb's LO.

I was immediately attracted to the yellow ...as well as the light, summer feel of it,  the movement  in her fish and water (waves), as well as her play with rope , and of course her doilies !
 Her theme is Fun with the Fishes;
mine is Wonder of the Butterflies...lol

I altered my background paper with acrylics, inks, crackle paint and  Bisque Liquid Pearls  ; a fabric doily was used as a mask. The main paper is from 7Dots , gorgeous and thick !!!

For the sentiment message I painted a hanging tag with acrylics and the same liquid pearls, applied crinkled saran wrap on top,  let dry, then inked (I call this the poor crafter's version of crackle paint !) ...

On the left side lots of papers were distressed, torn and inked; my version of
Deb's waves I guess..lol

This was really fun; I haven't done a lift in ages...Thanks Deb for the summertime inspiration..love G.

Chi, Sui, Ka,Fu,Ku...

Hello there, Oriental Style is the challenge over at the Fashionable Stamping.

I wrote you a Haiku poem to go along with the story LOl...

clouds bursting open
droplets glistening green leaves
lustrous swans below

I used these Crafty Individuals stamps behind my swan cameo and on the inside...

I used the sticker from the front as a mask , and highlighted the paper's grain by rubbing ink on it for the inside left.

I hope you join in the fun!!! Thanks for peeking, kisses G.

EDIT: I made this pouch for it after posting this, I used the same set of stickers but with glimmers mists...

Birds and Blooms Window Card...

Hi Peeps, well, I just had to play again at Out of a Hat Creations; Summertime...this time to include my birdies , which is a big part of my summer pleasures, especially watching and hearing them bathe in the bird bath...

I made a window card by recycling a Kleenex box ( since I don't have any of those fancy machines ! ), keeping the tab on the side to create more movement to the card. Since it is an oversized card, I recycled cereal boxes to use as cardstock...

I used these gorgeous feathers all around the frame:

Distressed some lace to use around my flowers ; thinking of a bird's nest.

For the flip side of the frame, I embossed in green and gold.
I fell in love with this image when I saw it as a free download on Trisha's blog French Kissed...I love that the writing is in french!!!

Thanks for peeking, love G.

Dragonflies, Butterflies and Blooms...

Hey Peeps, does this sound like SummerTime to you ? That is the challenge at Out of a Hat Creations this week and this is my card; I had fun taking my pictures outside in my garden...

  •  Our Creative Corner is celebrating its 10th anniversary, so I used 10 gems on the front of my card, and a total of 10 pieces of fabric..

Morning dew; a.k.a. glossy accents , lol...; isn't this paper gorgeous from Crafty Individuals?

I glimmer misted my tag and made a pocket; I tucked in some flowers that dry beautifully.. On the flip side I used a garden leaf as a mask.

For the inside, more of the same fabric, some burlap, tag, lace and an embossed dragonfly with pearls..
I tied the card with some purple and blue rafia....

And the envie; I downloaded the tags for free ...https://www.facebook.com/PrimaMarketing

Thanks for peeking and have a Fabulous Week-end....kisses, G.

My Fairie's Fantasy Dream World....

What would your Dream World look like ?

Well, you always need your Best Friend, and this fellow looks sympathetic wouldn't you say ?

.And there is nothing more calming that being in water....But you would need wings to explore and discover ...

Of course you would have pinks flowers with pearls as the centerpiece

In fact, you would have pink just about everywhere in your Dream World...And your seashells ? well, glittered and glossy of course !

I am entering Make my Monday challenge : fairies and/or fantasy or anything dream-like ...

My flower of the Day, Astrantia....well , it has to be pink !!!   LOL...

Thanks for visiting ...love, G.

L'Amour pour la Vie...

Hi ladies,  as much as I loved the challenge of making all those masculine Cards for Father's Day
( which BTW were all sold !!!), I am so happy to be back playing with my Roses and Lace .

I am entering this second card into The Sugar Creek Hallow Challenge, More is better!!! which is definitely my motto...

At The Shabby Tea Room , the theme is Diamond's are a girl's Best friend, and we are to create a card or project inspired by the colors in this photo and use pearls and or crystals..

Depending on who buys the card, I have a small sticker that says Precious love or l'Amour précieuse.

The gorgeous stickpin was gifted to me by my lovely blogging friend Starr...from the Paper Chase...I have been hoarding it for over 6 months LOL, so I figured it was time to give it up...

This is the inside...

Edit; this is the fabric pouch I made for it:

Thanks for peeking....Bisous G.

Le Thé est servie dans le Jardin Maman Laurette...

Hi there, the challenge over at the Sugar Creek Hollow this week is MORE IS BETTER !!! Yes, my sort of challenge...load on the embellies...

My wonderful, generous blog friend, who wishes to remain anonymous, sent me these gorgeous Scrap Cake papers....oh my, oh my they are delicious. I had never had a chance to play with them before; they are nice and thick like the Prima papers..

I embossed the tea cup with two different colors, moving the powder around as I melt it creating more dimension and variation in color; for the heart I used only the greenish blue color, then stamped
it. I made a little table to sit the pot on...

This is the inside :

Thanks for peeking and I hope to visit soon....hugs, G.
