"Spring Breeze" Card

Allo tout le monde, so I joined a color challenge today. Aren't these colors pretty? I find they go so well together, it was very easy to create with these three colors. Here is the link http://cr84fncolorchallenge.blogspot.com/2011/02/cr84fn17.html

I tried to keep it simple; my hubby tells me I may have a small tendency to over do it LOL...

The flowers are from BoBunny and I am Roses...

The stickpin I made myself...

I added some Martha Stewart glitter...

I love the way this cord looks, I undid the knots and curled it at the ends...

Added some beautiful lace from my beautiful girlfriend Elisa...

Ummm...love the Mariposa paper...

The background paper is a Japanese paper I had in my stash, same for the charm and  Prima chipboard.

Well, it certainly feels fresh and spring like....

"Half Moon Feather" Card

Hello all, my oh my, the day has slipped right by me...I have been reading blogs all day; I decided yesterday that I was going to start doing challenges., so I started following about 20 new ones as of today, and I will see down the road which ones I prefer. I am doing this to improve on my designs, work with new color combinations, meet new people, and get exposure. I have never used a sketch or color combos from the net before, and I really feel that this will be a very good learning process; will work my creativity in different ways.
Yesterday I made a card for a friend who asked me to make a card that was happy and full of love.

The main paper is BoBunny, Peacock.

I made tags using the DCWV Colorful life, Donna Estabrooks http://www.donnaestabrooks.com/
My hubby Richard bought this for me about 2 months ago, and I find it very hard to work with.
It's not that I dont like it, I do, but there is so much of her personnality on the papers, that it feels weird and difficult to add to it or alter it.

I know the man she is giving it to and I just know he will get a kick out of the quote "Walking Masterpiece".
Tks for visiting.   Gros bec. G.

"ladies of the 1920's"

Hey all, My niece asked me to make a card for her friend who is turning 27 and loves the color green, fashion, art and photography. I made her this card , well its quite big for a card, 9 X 8 inches....

I used the graphic 45 Haute Couture paper as the main image, distressed the edges, added some Websters pages ruffled rubban, some beads that I had. I glued it down to some Basic Grey Curio paper ( love this paper!!!) and added a old earing piece that I had. I rather use my jewelry in my cards than wear it !!!LOL

Inked up some lace with my Ranger wild honey distressed ink; I cant believe how well the lace takes the ink.  Added 3 old buttons ( gifted to me), and glued it down  on a different piece of BG Curio paper.

Cut out a corner piece of a Websters Pages paper that has a camera on it and applied glossy accents to it.

For the greeting I used a buckle and slipped this textured paper through it, inked it up a bit, cut out letters and numbers from Websters Pages, inked those up a bit, and added a few Recollections flowers.

Added a bit of Prima bling ....I think she will be happy !!!

Don't wait for your ship to come in - swim out to it...

My niece asked me to make a card for her mother's friend; her only request was that it contained a link to her Pisces sign. So, this is the end result...

I really enjoyed making this card and I love the outcome...I made a fish body, cut out a bunch of K and Co. Jubilee paper strips and used a scalloped edged punch to make all the scales...I cut out some beautiful lace
that a friend gave to me and used it for the fins and the tail. I silver embossed the head, put a BoBunny  brad for the eye, and some glossy accents for the lips....

Cut out some of the same paper, ripped and distressed the sides, added a Happy Birthday sticker. Used 3 shell beads and wired them up on the paper.

I used another BoBunny paper with little fishies on it, used a scalloped circle punch to create the waves, layered them up, put a few dots as bubbles... What d'you think ?

"Chickidee" Card

Hello there blogger and bloggerettes, just wanted to show you the silly, girlie card I made yesterday.

I have a box full of scrap papers  ( I don't throw aaaaaaaaanything out !), so I want to start using them up. I am thinking of making a collage and cutting them up and using them as my card backgrounds or ATC's.

Anyhow, for now I used them on this card, added a Prima Chipboard, this cool glittery, neon dragonfly (people have commented on OWOH that I seem to like dragonflies... I guess I do...) that hubby gave to me on St-Valentines, some swirls, a few flowers. Added some glossy  accents on Miss ladybug.

I had the letters L O and V in glittery pink, so I glittered up an E , and what does it spell ? LOL....I glued them down on this pinky, meshy thing...

.Glittered up a K and Co. border and laced my rubban through it...There's a lot going on on this card, probably too much, but what the heck....Have a super Duper Day....

"Boy Time Card"

Hi Everyone, Hope you are well, and dont have too much of a chocolate hangover ! I had a lovely Valentines; little gifts for my cards, a tiny box of chocolates and a magical kiss...
.I could'nt ask for anything more...

So, I am trying to stock up my Etsy shop, so I am making a variety of styles...I felt like playing with this Bingo card, so I made a card for a boy; I had so much fun making this. The 3 papers are from K and Co., and all the other elements were gifted to me.

I hung the 3 different charms on twine and hooked them up on my Bingo card, then I put this little boy on a swing and used these wood style buttons to hook up the swing.

How cute is this guy with his long brown hair and big brown eyes, his vest and shoes...

I think next card will be a girlie girl card....Bye for now...

I'm feeling kind of blue today, so I think I will just post the pics and go have a nap...hugs to you all...

The Birthday wishes are embossed; cant really tell in this picture...

Todays card

Hi ladies, I am keeping busy stocking up my Etsy Shop. I need some masculine cards, so I will be concentrating on making those for the next few weeks. I must admit, I find them much harder to make, so it is a good challenge for me. I am really happy with the one I made this morning, so manly,  but I am not happy with the picture. I listened to an excellent broadcast this morning on improving your Etsy store.  .http://www.livestream.com/etsy
I learnt a lot and will tweek my shop based on this new information; better pictures for one thing. But for today, this is what we get ! :-). I have not named her yet ; ususally, I come up with a name quickly, but nothing is coming to mind for this one. Any suggestions ?

I cut out the main image from a wine magazine ( my hubby and I are both wine lovers ); I distressed and inked the edges then mounted it on this really cool paper I have that looks like cork. The main paper is from 7gypsies, lots of distressing, writing, loops etc.

Corner punched with my favorite MS punch; I used old buttons for the binding and some twine...

and finished it off with this really manly rubban.

Hope you enjoyed my post. Have a lovely evening.  Hugs G.

"Key to my Heart" Card

Hi all, here is my latest card.

I used DCWV Mariposa paper; I adore this paper pack; some lace in which I entwined some twine;  Prima chipboard, K and Co. key, an old button ( gifted to me) in which I inserted a bit of chiffon, made some loops with twine, added some bling in the middle

Cut out some frame papers and inked them up to match the green; cut out a heart and used MS glitter on it.

And finally, glimmer misted the whole card with some TA glimmer mist; you can see the shimmer in the middle.

Tks for visiting; till next time....Hugs...Gisèle
