"Gift for my lovely Elisa" Box

Hi ladies, this is my latest creation. I altered this box as a x-mas gift for my BF.
I had so much fun making this and it made me realize how much I have learnt in the past 8 months and how much confidence I have gained.I made the pocket on the top with the K and co. Jubilee paper; I stuffed it with paper while it was drying, so after taking the paper out, it kept its form. The other papers used a C.I. and BoBunny. The flowers are Maya Road Velvet puffed blossoms.I used my EK edge puncher to create the scallopped sides, and drew the edge from a Prima journalling sticker.
I bought the lace at the dollorama and altered the color using TA Strawberry shortcake glimmer mist and Butterscotch Adirondack color wash. I glued down a beautiful piece of material that I know she will love.
I inked all of the edges of my papers, as well as the sides of the box with my Ranger distressed ink, vintage photo. I altered the K. and Co. butterfly a bit, so we would not see so much white, and folded the wings up. I put a small pocket on the inside for her to hide something precious, glued down some material I had, and some of the same paper I used for the sides of the box to create coherence. I added a bit of my favorite Prima lace. My favorite part are the painted sides; I mixed 3 acrylic colors to achieve this pink color and applied a few coats; once dried, I applied a fourth coat with bubble wrap. Afterwards, I applied a thick coat of a shiny gold, pressed down a Prima mask and rubbed it in, forcing some of the gold off....I just love the look.
