My last Christmas Card ???

Hi all, I love making x-mas cards, but I get tired of it rather quickly. Anyone else like that ? Anyhow, this may be my last x-mas card for this year ; looking forward to moving on to other things...

The Flying Unicorn blog is honoring and thanking their CT, and asking us members to lift one of their projects. I choose to lift Hélène, 2amscrapper who's work I love....

I am linking this to The ribbon Girl blog, who's challenge is simply to make a x-mas themed project.

Thanks for looking...have a fabulous week-end !!!

White on White...

Hi all, another Bella Challenge; use the colour white, and only white, on any project. I have long wanted to do this, but never had the courage, so when I saw this challenge, I knew right away this was the moment !!!
Yikes, I knew it would be hard, but it was really hard; probably the hardest challenge ever for me, but oh so satisfying !!!
And you know how I love to recycle, so I did and am doing my last entry for the Let's Craft and Create challenge...

I created my background using a recycled cereal box; glued some japanese paper , a bit of paint, and some embossing. Then lace and feathers...

Recycled a poinsettia from a card by fussy cutting, added different size pearls in the middle, popped it up on fabric, recycled an embossed frame from another card ( I am usually happy with the few supplies I have, but I must admit for this project I would have loved an embossing and or cutting machine).
I don't know why there are red spots in my pics ???

Used the reverse of a K and Co. border and applied glitter; added a bit of white paint to my off white flowers...painted the curly cues...

Weaved a strand of pearls through my lace, made a bow, added my button...finished it off with some lace...

And there you have it !!! xoxooxoxox

Chiming in the Holidays

Hi friends, Lets Craft and Create has a challenge called Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Bella Creations asks us to take something in our home, alter it for use in our home during the holidays.

I kept this wooden porto crate for ever, knowing I would one day alter it. Well, the day has come !
Here is the pic of it before I got my dirty little hands on it :

And this is how it looks today:

I rubbed it with inka-gold, added some gold glitter here and there, music paper to cover the old labels...

X-mas cluster, x-mas ball, made a big double bow...

And these ( they are straight IRL, they were just dangling from me moving it) are glass ornaments that chime when gently clicked...Cool huh !!!

I will put candles around it come x-mas time; I think it will look beautiful

TFL...xoxoxooxox

In addition, you can help by uploading your projects to the Flying Unicorn gallery. A donation of $1 will go to Women in Distress for each and every project that you upload to a maximum of $1,000.
If you would like to make a cash contribution to Women in Distress, Flying Unicorn is collecting donations on behalf of Women in Distress from November 1 through November 30, 2011. Fabric ornament...

Hello there bloggers, today I made a fabric christmas tree ornament. I don't sew, so it's out of my range of comfort, but I wanted to enter Starr's challenge over at Bella Creations which is to make something out of fabric for the holidays, and also Let's craft and create, which it to recycle.

The fabric is from an old shoe bag (not sure why, but we have about 8 shoe bags;I don't even have that many shoes..), the gold edging is from an old dress, and the ribbon is from a chocolate box....
It is the same of both sides, and it is stuffed to give it a 3D dimension...

Origami x-mas tree

Sandi , over at the Flying Unicorn, has challenged us to use the colors Red, Green And Yellow, and you must use this  photo as inspiration. So I thought : Quirky, fun, tall and slim, a definite sense of whimsy..

And I still need LOTS of x-mas cards, and I guess the trees influenced me, so this is what I made.
