Un Télégramme pour Papa...
Hi, Whilst making this card, I was picturing someone being away from their father, and sending out a telegram to wish him a Happy Father's Day....
All the papers are fussy cut and distressed from G45 Communiqué, Postage and Pen in Hand.
Trying to stay true to the period, I used a handmade paper as the background, and a feather , representing the quill pen of the time. In french a pen and a feather are called the same, une plume .
Added some burlap for the cuff, and a vintage button with a Lion Head, (as in King of the Castle...) for the cuff link, beads and rafia for the telegram...
On the inside the paper is glimmer misted with Coffee Shoppe ( LOVE this colour) a P, for Papa or Pops, an envelope with a tag for the note...
This week I am joining Mojo Monday with Sarah from La-De-Dah as the theme is Man Up.
As well as Sugar Creek Hollow, whose theme is Father's Day.
Have a great week, bisous G.

Monochromatic Card...
Hello, Does your art change with the seasons ? Iv'e been finding myself using a lot of butterflies and birds lately.
I felt like making a monochromatic card, so I sprayed the butterfly, my border ( which is a vintage tablecloth that my MIL gave me....don't worry, she knows I am cutting into it LOL ), and my paper with Coffee Shop and Aquamarine glimmer mists.
I altered my flower with mica powders.
Stamped and embossed the corners, as well as the butterflies and scrolls on the inside...
I am entering my card into the following challenges...
Unruly Paper Arts, Theme is spring; butterflies are one of my favorite insects...
Out of a Hat Creations, If I had Wings is the theme; I cant think of a nicer way to spend your days than fleeting from flower to flower...
Inspired by Stamping, Crochet trim or lace and this inspirational photo
(all my lace started this color, but of course I had to alter it !)
Thanks for looking, and Happy June !

Les Grands Crues...
Hello there, I found this image in one of those fancy wine magazines; I mounted it on this really cool paper that looks and feels like cork, and has gold speckles....
Then I used a corner punch , my double loop punch for the side, glazed it, weaved in some ribbon, a few old buttons, and Voila....A nice simple masculine card...
Check out this poppy from my garden that is just starting to open...it looks just like crinkled paper....so cool....you'll have to bear with me this summer with my flower pictures...LOL...I am an avid plant lover...
Have a great week-end everyone....love G.

Vintage Fashion...
is the challenge over at the Sugar Creek Hollow ....I am entering this week to support my blogging friend
Heather, from My artistic Adventures, who is now on the DT...Woohoo!!!
And over at the Artful Times Challenge it is ribbon and lace...
I saw a lot of female fashion as examples, all gorgeous, but with Father's Day coming up, and with a certain image in mind I went for a masculine card. When I saw this image from June at the Olde Curiosity Shop, I knew right away I wanted to use him; doesn't he look devilish with a twinkle in his eyes....
Ripped the sides, inked, rippled; made a frame with MS triple loop punch, sprayed with coffee shop and aquamarine, applied scraps of vintage fabric, lace and buttons.
applied to paper, then fabric. Made a watch with a Prima chipboard and a belt buckle
added a ribbon and some beads to the side....
I am really happy with the outcome.....
Thanks for peeking and why don't you come join the challenges !!! Hugs G.
